Liner through receiver but still free on cap end

The liner folded back in but not tensioned
The next step is to install the liner itself. First the liner material is pulled over the entrance end, right on top of the already installed constrictor. Next, it is folded back through the constrictor material and through the tubular receiver housing.

Since this material has a significant fold, I have arranged for the fold on the liner to be at right angles to the fold in the constrictor in an effort to get the final entrance as round and unfluted as possible.

Even without being tensioned yet, you can still center the liner after it is pulled over the entrance end of the housing. It is important to take time to get things well centered at this point. Be careful not to disturb the constrictor already installed underneath it.

The folding or wrinkling on the inner surface of the liner material which is seen here will disappear when the liner is properly tensioned.

Right now it is only important that the entrance formed be well centered by adjusting the tension around the housing edge where the liner is pulled up and over the tubular housing.

You can see in these photos how the constrictor relates to the liner material and about the amount of overlap I find most effective. You can use more or less overlap.

This is especially obvious in the last photo where the overlap can clearly be seen. Also note that it is not necessary for the liner material to completely overlap the constrictor on the outside of the housing.
